The port of Motril increases by 96.6% the number of calls by merchant ships in summer

These data, together with the volume of goods transported that increase each month, confirm the economic recovery of companies in the area.

By sectors, the Balearia and FRS passenger and freight ships that make the regular maritime line with Melilla have docked 48 times during the aforementioned temporary space. Also noteworthy are the 70 ship calls that have transported other goods such as liquid bulk (24), general cargo (40) and solid bulk (3).

Regarding wind vessels, the 16 shipments made in June and July represent 13.5% of the calls in that period. In total, 303 74-meter blades, the largest manufactured in Spain, have been exported to destinations such as Sweden, Finland, Turkey or Germany.

In addition to the export blades for the wind turbines, this summer there have been several shipments of the elements that make up the bases and that in recent months have been stockpiling on a 15,000 square meter plot set up by the port in the Activities Zone Logistics
